Our Origins

Decades of Scholarly Exchange

Founded in 1994, GCRA emerged from a clear need to unify communication scholars across diverse regions. Our early initiatives focused on establishing thematic research networks and coordinating the first biennial conference, setting a precedent for rigorous academic engagement.
